to advance in life and relieve needs young people in in penwortham & lancashire by:- providing them with opportunities to participate in and achieve the duke of edinburgh’s award, regardless of their background or circumstances. - guiding and supporting them with all sections of the award; - preparing them for the expedition section of the award through education and adventurous training; and by - facilitating affordable and high quality practice and assessed expeditions nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the cio for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the charities and trustee investment (scotland) act 2005 and section 2 of the charities act (northern ireland) 2008.
