4 the charity’s objects (‘objects’) are specifically restricted to the following:to relieve sickness and to preserve the health of people suffering from the debilitating effects of sickle cell disease (scd) by:--assisting in the treatment and care of persons suffering from physical illness and complications arising from scd or in need of rehabilitation as a result of this ailment by the provision of facilities for treatment and learning;-promoting and protecting the physical and mental health of sufferers of scd through the provision of medical facilities, financial assistance, support, education, and practical developments;-advancing the education of the medical practitioners in all areas relating to scd;-awarding scholarships, maintenance allowances or grants for education to further the purpose;-to support research into the treatment of scd.[nothing in the articles shall authorise an application of the property of the charity for purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the charities and trustee investment (scotland) act 2005 and/or section 2 of the charities act (northern ireland) 2008.].
