the promotion of the conservation, protection and improvement of the natural environment and prudent use of natural resources, through community led initiatives particularly with regard to climate change, for the benefit of the public in the parish of st ive and beyond by: a) advancing education and raising awareness of climate change and resource scarcity b) promoting individual, community and organisational commitment to a reduction in co2 emissions, energy saving, reducing reliance upon carbon emitting energy sources; c) promoting individual, community and organisational commitment to increasing resilience to resource scarcity d) promoting local community growing schemes by establishing local community orchards and gardens nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the cio for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the charities and trustee investment (scotland) act 2005 and section 2 of the charities act (northern ireland) 2008.
