the child psychotherapy council has been established for the public benefit in mental health and wellbeing of children, young people and families. the charity acts to promote the highest standards of the profession of child psychotherapy and child psychotherapy provision to the public in particular but not exclusively through the following activities: . carrying out research and scholarly activities to benefit of the children, young people and families (service users) and the profession of child psychotherapy at large. by raising awareness of members of public about the benefits of mental health provision specifically child psychotherapy, for children, young people and families . by providing information and advice on best practice and training provision in child psychotherapy. upholding the standards of training and practice by acting as a voluntary regulator of child psychotherapists.
