Objects:
(a) to promote the voluntary sector by the provision of support (including but not limited to the organisation of conferences and policy formulation and dissemination) and mentoring; and(b) to promote the efficiency and effectiveness of charities and voluntary sector organisations by the provision of support (including but not limited to the organisation of conferences and policy formulation and dissemination) and mentoring.the term “voluntary sector†in these objects shall mean charities (being organisations which are established for exclusively charitable purposes in accordance with the laws of england and wales or the laws of the relevant jurisdiction in which the relevant organisation is established) and voluntary organisations (being independent organisations which are established for purposes that add value to the community as a whole, or a significant section of the community, which are not permitted by their constitution to make a profit for private distribution and which do not include local government or other statutory authorities).
