the objects of the cio are:3.1the advancement of religion by the conservation, maintenance, improvement, enhancement and replacement of the fabric, fixtures, fittings and furnishings of the priory church of st. mary and st. michael, cartmel, cumbria (including, without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, the churchyard and hereditaments within the curtilage of the churchyard) as a place of living christian worship within the village of cartmel and provided that should the priory church cease to be a place of living christian worship then the secondary object shall be the furtherance and advancement of the christian faith within the locality of cartmel by (but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing) the construction and maintenance of a place of worship;3.2the advancement of the christian faith more generally in cartmel and its surrounding areas.
