the objects of the cio are:to promote the conservation of the physical and natural environment for the public benefit by promoting biological diversity (or biodiversity), in particular but not exclusively by:a. promoting the cultural and historic traditions of keeping, breeding and otherwise conserving british breeds and populations of farm animals sustainably and to encourage greater biodiversity.b. providing education and training in techniques for the on-farm and/or the in gene bank conservation of british breeds and populations of farm animals (including equines), either directly or indirectly.c. providing support for the revival, maintenance, conservation and enhancement of british breeds and populations of farm animals (especially including their genetic diversity).d. carrying out and/or supporting research and publishing the results of such research for the public benefit.
