the object of the cio is: a. the prevention and relief of financial hardship and sickness among those suffering from the consequences of natural disasters, wars & conflicts, economic & social deprivation, or other unfortunate accidents in the uk and less developed south asian and african countries, through the provision of basic education, food, clean water and other means deemed suitable, in coordination with individuals and local organisations.nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the cio for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with [section 7 of the charities and trustee investment (scotland) act 2005] and [section 2 of the charities act (northern ireland) 2008].
