the objects of the cio are: the relief of sickness and the preservation and protection of health for the public benefit ofrelieving medical complications, both immediate and long-term and potentially life-long, inchildren under the age of 18 who suffer from any congenital heart disease and who primarily reside, either permanently or temporarily, in second or third-world nations through1. the provision of financial assistance, medical support, treatment, education, and practical advice; and2. the provision of equipment, facilities, and transportation required for medical treatment, whether or not normally provided or offered by the statutory authorities and ancillary to those provided by the medical systemeither alone or in collaboration with existing charities, foundations, funds, research institutes, medical or statutory services, or individuals or by supporting existing charities, foundations, funds, research institutes, medical or statutory services, or individuals working towards any of the objects listed above through the supply of any of the provisions listed above.nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the cio for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the charities and trustee investment (scotland) act 2005 and section 2 of the charities act (northern ireland) 2008.
