1) the advancement of education of the public of the history and evolution of computer and console systems from the 1960’s onwards , including, bya) establishing, maintaining and operating a museum in derby for the public benefit, for the preservation, display and public experience of computers, console systems and technology b) providing opportunities to enable volunteers to develop skills in the fields of electronics, computing, museum curation, teamwork, and communication2) to further or benefit the residents of the city of derby and the neighbourhood, without distinction of age, sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions by associating together the said residents and the local authority, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents.
