(a) the prevention or relief of poverty in the parish of drayton beauchamp and nearby parishes by providing; grants, items and services to individuals in need and / or charities or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty.(b) to further benefit the residents of the parish of drayton beauchamp and nearby parishes without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions by associating together the said residents and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents.in furtherance of the above object, the trustees shall have power to maintain improve and conserve the church of st mary the virgin drayton beauchamp to be used as a centre for the community and to maintain or cooperate with any statutory authority in the maintenance and management of such a centre for activities provided by the charity in furtherance of the above object.
