3. objects3.1 the trustees shall hold the capital and income of the trust fund upon trust to apply the income, and at their discretion all or any part or parts of the capital, in furtherance of such one or more of the following charitable purposes for the benefit of the public as the trustees may in their discretion think fit:(a) to promote and protect the physical and mental health of children and young people, their families and carers;(b) to assist in the treatment and care of children and young people suffering from mental or physical illness of any description or in need of rehabilitation as a result of any illness or injury, and to support their families and carers in providing such treatment or care.(c) to promote or assist in furthering either of the above purposes through the provision of financial assistance, support, education, advice and funding of research (of which the useful results are to be published) by means of grants and/or the provision of facilities, equipment and services ancillary or not ancillary to those provided by doctors, hospitals, hospices or any other medical facility;(d) to promote any other charitable purpose, or to assist any other charity established for other charitable purposes, associated with the advancement of health, the relief of sickness and the saving of lives.3.2 notwithstanding the provisions of sub-clause 3.1, the trustees may in their discretion, for the period of 21 years from the date of this deed, instead of applying the income of the trust fund in any year, accumulate all or any part of such income by investing the same, and the resulting income, in any investments authorised by this deed or by law as an accretion to and as part of the capital of the trust fund, without prejudice to their right to apply the whole or any part of such accumulated income in any subsequent year as if the same were income of the trust fund arising in the then current year.
