the objects of the cio are 1. the provision and maintenance of a theatre and hall space for the use of the inhabitants of the communities surrounding the cecil hepworth playhouse, including elmbridge, spelthorne, runnymede, woking, guildford, mole valley, and neighbourhood, without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for: (a) meetings, lectures and classes, and (b) other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the public.2. to promote the public appreciation of the arts, such as in theatrical arts, cinematic history and stagecraft for public benefit and through the provisioning and management of a public space for the performance, development, and experience of the arts, more particularly (but not exclusively to) musical theatre, drama, dance, music, cinematic and other arts and activities.3. for the public benefit, to advance education in:i. the arts of stagecraft, including other aspects of theatre and theatre management; ii. the history and cultural heritage of the cecil hepworth playhouse.
