the objects of the cio are for the public benefit to:3.1 relieve the suffering of rabbits and other small mammals in need of care and attention, in particular (but not exclusively), by providing and maintaining a rescue home or homes (or other facilities) for the reception, care and treatment of rabbits and other small mammals and to facilitate, where appropriate, the re-homing of such animals to suitable new homes whether temporary for foster care or permanent; and3.2 to promote humane behaviour towards rabbits and other small mammals by:3.2.1 providing (directly or indirectly) or facilitating appropriate care, protection, treatment and security for rabbits and other small mammals which are in need of care and attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances or ill-usage; and3.2.2 educating the public in matters pertaining to animal welfare and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among rabbits and other small mammals.
