the objects of the cio are the prevention or relief of poverty in the elland and district area, specifically but not exclusively to those living in hx4 and hx5 post code areas, in particular, but not exclusively by:- providing emergency food and basic essential items to individuals and families in need and/or to other charities/organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty for their distribution. - including, but not limited to, the provision of support, advice or signposting to the relevant information or advisory services.- working in partnership with other organisations in the relief of food poverty.- giving emergency assistance to anyone seeking help and signposting as a one off provision, as the trustees in their discretion see fit.nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the cio for purposes which are not charitable.
