Objects:
the objects of the cio are for the benefit of the public generally and, in particular, theinhabitants of buckinghamshire and its surrounding areas:3.1 to promote community participation in healthy recreation in particular by providing and assistingin providing facilities for and organising the playing of cricket and other sport and gamescapable of promoting health (facilities in these articles means land, buildings, equipment,personnel and know-how);3.2 to provide and assist in providing facilities for sport, recreation and other leisure time occupationof such persons who have need for such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity ordisablement, poverty or social economic circumstances or for the public at large in the interestof social welfare with the object of improving their condition of life; and3.3 to advance education in the subject of cricket through workshops, webinars, conferences andcourses.nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the cio for thepurposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the charities and trusteeinvestment (scotland) act 2005 and section 2 of the charities act (northern ireland) 2008.
