Objects:
the objectives of the cio are for the public benefit in the united kingdom, india, pakistan, and other parts of the world as the trustees may from time to time determine:1. the prevention or relief of poverty by providing grants to individuals, families, and groups from socially or economically disadvantaged communities, in particular but not exclusively to assist in the provision of education and healthcare.2.the relief of those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, or financial hardship, in particular but not exclusively by making grants for providing for or paying for items, equipment, services and facilities including the provision of shelter, food, clean water and clothing for the benefit of said persons.3.to relieve unemployment by helping those of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities who are unemployed to gain the skills, knowledge and experience needed to start a career of their choice and change their lives.nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the cio for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the charities and trustee investment (scotland) act 2005 and section 2 of the charities act (northern ireland)2008.
