holiday home for women having insufficient means to pay full cost of residence at the seaside and who shall be recovering from a non-contagious illness. 1 the relief and care of elderly persons of all classes, beliefs and nationalities suffering from the disabilities of old age or otherwise in need.2 the spreading of christian principles to all human relationships and the application of humanitarian aims to promote the relief of the elderly.3 to provide further education in the sphere of voluntary work, social work and similar activities so as to inculcate the principles of good citizenship.4 the provision and management of housing, accommodation or assistance, including providing and maintaining or assisting in, providing and maintaining houses and homes, for the relief and care of elderly persons suffering from the disabilities of old age or otherwise being in need. 5 such other purposes recognised by english law as charitable as the society shall determine from time to time. to relieve lonely aged impotent and poor people of all classes, for the advancement of religion and education and for all other charitable purposes beneficial to the community. the object of the charity is the relief of people in conditions of need in particular by the provision of housing. to relieve aged impotent or poor people of all classes, for the advancement of religion, and education and for other charitable purposes beneficial to the community and in particular to house lonely old people who would otherwise be on thier own, and in so doing to provide a focal point for goodwill and kindness of neighbours. (see also memorandum & articles of association). to provide and maintain homes for ladies with limited income the society is established to relieve aged, impotent and poor people of all classes for the advancement of religion and education and for other charitable purposes beneficial to the community. the charity's objects ('the objects') are the relief of the elderly, the relief of poverty, the advancement of education, the advancement of religion and to or for such other charitable purposes as the trustees shall think fit (1) the relief and care of elderly persons of all classes and nationalities suffering the insecurities, disabilities and disadvantage of old age; (2) to promote the relationships for the benefit of the elderly; (3) to provide education and training to those working in the sphere of voluntary and social work;(4)to enable its member societies the better to meet their respective charitable purposes; (5) such other purposes as the society shall determine from time to time and which shall be charitable in english law under which the society has been incorporated. to provide care and support for older people and others who are in need of care and support by reason of their frailty, sickness and disability 3. the objects of the charity are:3.1 relief and care of elderly persons of all classes suffering from disabilities of old age, or otherwise in need;3.2 such other purposes recognised by english law as charitable as the charity shall determine from time to time. income to be used for the residents amenity fund fairlight avenue the provision of residential accommodation fo poor, sick or aged resident in greater london. 1) to apply the clear income of the said charity in or towards the upkeep repair and improvement of the said home for the benefit of the residents therein. 2) relief and care of elderly persons who are in need. in or towards the upkeep and improvement of the home for gentlewomen and for the benefit of the residents therein 1 . (a) the provision of housing accommodation for women who: (i) are in need, hardship or distress; and (ii) are over fifty-five years of age. (b) such charitable purposes for the benefit of the residents as the trustee decides. 2. when there are insufficient applications from women with circumstances meeting the requirements stipulated in clauses 1(a)(i) and 1 (a)(ii) to fill all of the vacancies in the charity's home the trustee may appoint men who meet the requirements stipulated in those clauses. for the purpose of providing and endowing a residential home for old people including all necessary furniture and equipment 1) provision of a home for old people in the beneficial area in need of accommodation. 2) the equipment maintenance repair insurance re-construction and general upkeep of the home. in or towards the upkeep repair and improvement of the home and for the benefit of the residents therein to provide a home for necessitous persons of either sex who, owing to age or infirmity or other causes are incapable of maintaining themselves to further the charitable work of the abbeyfield society and local member abbeyfield societies in particular by promoting and supporting within the abbeyfield movement the relief and care of elderly persons of all classes suffering from the disabilities of old age.
