subject to the provisions of the charities act 2011 the purposes of the charity shall be to apply the income of the charity in making grants to the following categories of persons, being persons whose home (or in the case of students their parents' or guardians' home) is in the parish of corston at the date of the grant: those who are aged over 70 years and who are in the trustees' opinion in need; those who are in poor health; those who are unemployed; 6th form, college or university students; and the parents or guardians (including single parents or guardians) of children who in the trustees' opinion need assistance with the cost of school books or uniforms.
