1)providing benefits at any school or schools serving the area of benefit which the governors of the school concerned are unable to provide from the school's budget.2)promoting the education of persons under 25 who or whose parents are resident or who have at any time attended a school in the area of benefit and who are in need of financial assistance.3)awarding to such persons scholarships,exhibitions,bursaries,maintenance allowances or grants tenable at any school,university,college of education,or other institution of further education.4)in providing financial outfits,clothing,tools,instruments or books to assist such persons to pursue their education,to undertake travel,or to prepare for or enter a trade,profession,occupation or service on leaving school,university or other education establishment. (1)almshouses for poor persons of good character who are not less than 60 years of age and have resided for not less than six years next preceding the time of appointment in the ancient parish of littleport. (2) for the relief of persons resident in the area of benefit who are in need, hardship or distress.
