the promotion of public awareness and the understanding of matters relating to medicine and healthcare. where the term ‘healthcare professions’ herein refers to persons who are or were employed in every aspect of health care provision, including veterinary practice, academic study, research and students thereof such as the trustees shall determine from time to time. the advancement of education for the public benefit through the support of the royal society of medicine's library, including without limitation, through the provision and upkeep and enhancement of the use, of books, periodicals, learned journals, databases and e-learning facilities and exhibitions based thereon. the objects of the charity are, for the benefit of the public, the advancement of health through the promotion of the general educational purposes of the royal society of medicine.
