assistance or benefit, including the education of past, present and future pilots and navigators and their dependants. to provide assistance for employees and dependants in the event of death or injury whilst engaged in ferrying military aircraft 1. providing assistance to those who served as a pilot, air gunner or observer with a squadron of fighter command officially recorded as engaged in an operational capacity agaist the enemy during the months of august september, october and november 1940 2. relieving in cases of need the widows and other dependants of decessed persos set out above for ex-members of 83 squadron who fought & survived the 1939-45 war and dependants in need of those who died & secondarily the general purpose of r.a.f. benevolent fund for the benefit of past and present members of auxiliary air squadrons, their near relations & dependants who are in need of assistance, with a preference to those qualified by service in 611 (west lancashire) squadron auxiliary air force and their dependants. for the benifit of pilots and men who took part in the battle of britain and their dependants for education and training of children whose father died in the course of flying duty in the r a f scholarships for sons and daughters of members of the r a f or w r a f (past or present) towards the fees of a son of a deceased officer or airman to study engineering. the capital and income are to be used to assist the needy dependants of members of the royal air force and the royal air force volunteer reserve killed or disabled on active service in the 1935-45 war for the benefit of the r.a.f. benevolent fund with a preference to former flying boat aircrew members in need. to provide scholarships and assistance in the education of present and past pupils of the alexander duckham memorial school with preference for children who have links with coastal command. the maintenance and upkeep of the property at rustington in the county of sussex known as princess marina house so long as the buildings are used as a home for the accommodation of convalescent or disabled members of the raf and their dependants. 2. upkeep and maintenance of other property used by the raf benevolent fund for similar purposes. 3. general benefit of raf benevolent fund. for the benefit of the funds school at vanbrugh castle. applied for scholarship at a university other than oxford or cambridge for a child of any member of the r.a.f. who died during service providing bursaries for the education oif children of those who died in r.a.f. service. to provide scholarships for charter house or preparatory school acceptable to charterhouse. scholarship, bursary or cadetship for a son of an officer or airman prepare for or aid his advancement in the r.a.f. award in every year of two fighter command scholarships (for details see clause 3 of trust deed). to endow a scholarship of the son of an officer or airman going to marlborough college for the maternity and post-natal help of wives of officers and ex-officers. for the benefit of the r.a.f. benevolent fund with a preference for beneficiaries in the north east of england especially the counties of northumberland and durham. for the benefit of the british airmen disabled and dependants of such airmen who died in the 1939 war. a) to help serving or retired royal air force officers who are sick and need money to get special treatment or special benefit having regard to their ill-health. b) for the education of orphan children of royal air officers in need of assistance. for the benefit of the royal air force boys and other paralysed ex-servicemen at chaseley for the educational benefit of officers children past and present with prefering to children of officers who lost their lives or have been invalided while serving in the r a f alleviation of distress caused to raf personnel and their dependants by being stationed in the middle east command education of children of deceased raf officer and airmen benefit od pilots and members of flying personnel and the children of such personnel who died on actove service during the 1939-1945 war for the purpose of supporting a royal air force benevolent fund foundation at the duke of kent school ewhurst surrey to support at any one time at least two children from the families of former or serving airmen who, through their service in the r.a.f.have been rendered incapable of properly supporting their families assisting individuals by the awards of education grants for children of officers or airmen. scholarship for children of officers, airmen and airwomen who have reached a high standard of education, to enjoy university education otherwise not available. to enble two sons of r.a.f. officers killed on active service or if funds insufficent,one son to enjoy a university education schlarship at clifton for the son of an officer killed on flying duty to provide bursaries for the son of r.a.f. officers who are killed in war of peacetime service cost of education of children of any officers who shall have died or been disabled whilst on active service or been in no 25squadron well being & education of children of past, present and future aircrew members of the r.a.f. from derbyshire who died on duty to provide scholarships to provide school prizes for duke of kent school education of a boy whose father was killed in air operations in world war ii education of children of officers assisting with housing, or with the welfare of r.a.f. officers' widows whose husbands are killed or die as a result of their r.a.f. service. education of children of deceased members of the service killed on duty or whose death was due to service to assist in the education and welfare of a child who attends the duke of kent school, wool pit, ewhurst, surrey and who is also a r.a.f. benevolent fund foundationer. preference to be given to a child whose father has been killed, severly disabled, or invalid as a result of helicopter search and rescue operation for grants to children who are eligible to receive assistance from the royal air force benevolent fund, priority to be given to students for overseas travel and clothing or equipment for activities during any period before in connection with further education or taking up their chosen careers. 1) to relieve the financial need of members of the royal air force involved in military and other operations relating to or in connection with the gulf conflict and their dependants (the beneficiaries). 2) to relieve sickness distress or any other physical or mental disability of the beneficiaries. such financial need or such sickness distress or other physical or mental disability must arise by virtue of the military and other operations relating to or in connection with the gulf conflict. the upkeep and maintenance of the property known as princess marina house at rustington and the buildings used in connection therewith so long as the property and buildings are used as a home for the accommodation of convalescent or disabled members of the royal air force and their convalescent or disabled dependants to provide annual bursaries or other financial assistance for foundationers (ie those sons and daughters of raf servicemen and women who die or become severly disabled whilst in the service) who are educated at the duke of kent school, or any other school owned by the raf benevolent fund or any other school at the discretion of the raf benevolent fund's council operating through its education and other welfare committees. a) the maintenance, upkeep and repair of the war memorial known as the raf memorial situated at victoria embankment london. b) the relief and assistance by all available means of all of any of the following classes of beneficiaries who are in need of such relief or assistance by reason of poverty disability sickness infirmity or otherwise namely: (i) all persons of all ranks who are or have or shall have at any time or shall be members of the royal air force, the auxiliary air force, the royal air force reserves,the women's royal air force and the women's auxiliary air force or any separate dominion air force or members of any former organisation the place of which has substantially been taken by the said organisations or any of them or members of any future organisations which hereafter shall substantially take the place of the said organisations or any of them. (ii) all persons who shall at any time have been or be widows children or other dependants of any of the persons above referred to provided that in order to qualify for such relief or assistance a member or former member of a separate dominion air force or the widow or other dependant of such member or former member as the case may be must at the time of the relief or assistance be normally resident in the united kingdom. the charity is linked to 1081009 under s.96(5) for accounting purposes only.
