to maintain and administer a fund for the assistance and relief of men of the regiment, both past and present (also their widows and orphans) who are in distressed circumstances through age, sickness wounds or other disability and unable to maintaine themselves or their families. to find employment for men on leaving the regiment who are in poverty.
