"a) to take over all or any part of the property and funds belonging to the unincorporated voluntary society known as ""the hawksley society for the protection of animals and birds in italy"" and to undertake all or any of the liabilities of the said voluntary society, and to enter into such contracts as may be necessary or expedient for such purpose, and to continue to carry on the work and undertaking of the said voluntary society. (b) to take over all or any part of the property or funds belonging to the undermentioned incorporated and unincorporated voluntary societies the administration of which has hitherto been assumed by the said unincorporated voluntary society referred to in the preceding paragraph, and to continue to carry on the work and undertakings thereof namely :- society romana per la protezione degli animali, rome society for the protection of animals, society for the prevention of cruelty to animals in rome, italian society for the prevention of cruelty to animals, lega italiana per la protezione degli animali, italian blue cross and croce azzurra italiana. (c) to promote humane behaviour towards animals, in particular in italy, by providing appropriate care, protection, treatment and security for animals which are in need of care and attention by reason of sickness, maltreatment, poor circumstances or ill usage and to educate the public, in particular in italy, in matters pertaining to animal welfare in general and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among animals"
