(1) the trustees shall apply the income of the charity for the relief of gentlewomen in reduced cirmcumstances in grants of money including without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing the provision of scholarships, bursaries and other methods for the purpose of encouraging talent in music, art, drama, science, literature or other forms of learning. preference shall be given to those qualified as aforesaid who are of jewish faith.(2) if and so far as the trustees are unable in any year to apply the income of the charity in accordance with subsection (1) above, they may apply the income of the charity in aid of any properly constituted jewish charity or charities.
