assisting in the emigration of poor boys and girls and if so far as the income is not required therefor in assisting poor boys and girls who are preparing for, entering upon or engaged in any trade, occupation or service by outfits, payment of fees for instruction, payment of travelling expenses or such means for their advancement in life or to enable them to earn their own living as the trustees think fit. to assist persons who at any time have been resident in one of the schools, homes or hostels belonging to the boys and girls welfare society for the general purposes of the boys' and girls' welfare society income to be applied for the general purposes of the charity reclaiming and reforming destitute boys and girls in the city of manchester and the borough of salford. towards the repair maintenance and upkeep of the bethesda home for crippled children. for the boys' and girls' refuge for a christmas treat the objects, which will be carried out for the public benefit are:(a) to give aid, assistance and care to those with disabilities or in need, including to children and/or young persons; and(b) to promote the education, training and advancement in life of those with disabilities or in need. including that of children and/or young persons. maintenance and support of the several homes and institutions of the boys' and girls' refuges, and for the advancement of education, including religious education, or girls who have not attained the age of twenty-five and who for not less than two years have been inmates of the said homes and institutions. (1) the home known as taxal edge belonging to the charity may be used for the charitable objects of the boys and girls welfare society. (2) the trustees shall apply the clear income of the charity in augmentation of the income of the said boys and girls welfare society (for further details see clause 3 of the scheme dated 2 december 1975).
