to augment the funds of the friendly almshouses. furthering the object of the friendly almshouses. to relieve and assist in cases of needy women of good character who are over the age of 50 years and who, except in special cases to be approved by the committee of the charity, are resident within ten miles of st. paul's cathedral in particular by the provision of housing and associated amenities for such women, on terms appropriate to their means.
