"the purposes are 1) in or towards the cost of a celebration bearing the name of lawrence atwell, which may include a dinner, lunch or reception, for representatives of the company and beneficiaries of the charity.2) in providing one or more scholarships or bursaries to be awarded to a pupil or pupils attending tonbridge school.3) in assisting young persons who are in need of financial assistance and who are preparing for entering upon or engaged in any profession, trade, occupation or service.4) in making grants of money to any charitable institution or organisation.5) promoting the education, including social and physical training, of such persons. for further education, training, and maintenance during training of former pupils of tonbridge school to enable them to prepare for or make their careers at sea in the merchant or royal navies, marine engineering or ship-building and repairing marine or naval architecture port management or administration pilots service or service in the fishing fleet life-boats ferry- boats or hovercraft. for the further education, training and maintenance during training of former pupils of tonbridge school, at tonbridge, in the county of kent during a period not exceeding five years from the date of their leaving the school to enable them to prepare for or make their career in any branch of engineering or other technological discipline. if and in so far as the clear income of the charity cannot be applied in accordance with the existing trusts, the trustee may apply the same in advancing the education of boys currently attending tonbridge school to enable them to prepare for or make their career in any branch of engineering or other technological discipline. general charitable purposes at the discretion of the master and wardens of the skinners company. the provision of assistance for higher education by means of exhibitions tenable at brasenose college, oxford for pupils from tonbridge school, tonbridge, kent assisting the maintenance of one or more poor scholars studying divinity at each of the universities of oxford and cambridge. 1. the advancement of education generally and in particular the advancement of the education of pupils at christ's hospital school horsham west sussex by granting scholarships bursaries prizes and awards to such pupils. 2. the general purposes of such charitable bodies or for such other purposes as shall be exclusively charitable as the trustees may from time to time decide. (1) a prize for the scholar of the skinners' company's school who shall be in the opinion of the head master of the said skinners' company's school be the author of the best essay written by a scholar of the said skinners' company's school upon a historical subject to be selected by the said head master and (2) a prize (also to be known as ""the le jeune prize"") for the scholar of the said county school for girls who shall in the opinion of the head mistress of the said county school for girls be be the author of the best essay written by a scholar of the said county school for girls be the author of the best essay written by a scholar of the said county school for girls upon a historical subject to be selected by the said head mistress. the better maintenance and support of one godly and religious poor scholar in the university of cambridge educational endowment the foundation or establishment of a scholarship in the schools under the management of the skinners' company of london general charitable purposes, with as a precatory object the assisting of present or former pupils of tonbridge school, the judd school tonbridge, the skinners' school tunbridge wells and the skinners' company's school for girls at stamford hill, london. 1) for the relief of poverty and the provision maintenance and advancement of education and religious instruction in england so far as such relief provision maintenance and advancement are charitable according to the law of england. 2) for the education of any pupil or pupils who are for the time being in attendance at tonbridge school, kent."
