destitute widows and families of deceased fishermen and mariners belonging to the counties of banff, moray and aberdeen. members past or present of the mercantile marine and/or their dependants. relief work in the tyne area for the benefit equally of the ten most deserving old mariners or fishermen on the society's list. for the benefit of north sea fishermen and their families. for the distribution of pensions preferably for men who have served in the 1st world war against the germans or to their families. maritime classes orphans and fatherless children of shipwrecked mariners and fishermen belonging to the port of looe. for the benefit of daughters of captains of merchantmen primarily in connection with the society's work on the coast of norfolk awards for rescue of mariners. for specially deserving cases of widows and orphans at montrose and ferryden. in furtherance of the objects of the main charity to promote the welfare of seamen generally, their wives, widows and children and others dependant on them. to raise monies by means of contributions, donations, legacies, collections, or the like and thereout to provide financial assistance to persons directly employed in all sections of the fishing industry at fleetwood, in cases of incapacity or to their dependants in cases of bereavement where, in the opinion of the committee, such help is necessary and deserving.
