any provident club or society established in or in the neighbourhood of the parish, for the supply of coal, clothes or other necessaries. b) contributions towards the provision of nurse for the sick or infirm, and the travelling expenses of the patients to and from the above mentioned institutions. payment of stipends to pensioners who shall be a poor man or woman (to be called clarke's pensioner) of good character who has resided in the parish for not less than five years preceding the time of appointment, who has not during that period received poor-law relief, and who from age, ill-health, accident, or infirmity, is wholly or in part unable to maintain himself or herself by his or her own exertions. the payment of stipends to pensioners (derby's pensioner) who shall be person of good character who has resided in the parish for not less than five years next preceding the time of appointment, who has not during that period received poor-law relief, and who from age, ill-health, accident, or infirmity, is wholly or in part unable to maintain himself or herself by his or her own exertions. for the benefit of deserving and necessitous widows bonafide resident in the ancient parish, in the supply of clothes, linen, bedding, fuel, tool, medical or other aid in sickness, food or other articles in kind; contributions toward the provision of nurses for the sick and infirm and the travelling expenses to and from the institutions as area above-mentioned. income to be distributed on 21 june and 21 december in every year in such manner and in such shares as trustees may deem most expedient and just among the deserving poor of the parish of old leake. 1) the relief of persons resident in the area of benefit who are in need, hardship or distress.2) the trustees may relieve persons in need by:a) making grants of money to them; orb) providing or paying for goods, services or facilities for them; orc) making grants of money to other persons or bodies who provide goods, services or facilities to those in need.3) in exceptional cases the trustees may decide to assist someone (who is otherwise qualified) who is:a) resident outside the area of benefit; orb) only temporarily resident in the area of benefit.
