PENSIONS FOR THE WIDOWS OF PENSIONERS OF THE LIVERPOOL SEAMEN'S PENSION FUND, EACH SUCH PENSION BEING AT THE RATE OF NOT MORE THAN ú84 A YEAR OR SUCH SUM AS THE COMMISSIONERS APPROVED IN WRITING FROM TIME TO TIME. bed sitting room and cooking facilities for aged and needy widows of merchant navy seamen. pensions for widows of seamen of all ranks who lost their lives whilst serving at sea. pensions for necessitous certificated masters and deck officers and their widows. for relief of needy and aged shipmasters officers and seamen of all ranks of the british merchant navy and their dependatns. (for details of amalgamations see amalgamated box on main record and scheme of 8/7/1966) pensions and grants for necessitous masters and seamen of all ranks and widows and children. for sick and incapacitated inmates of the mariners and widows homes for helping indigent, disabled, sick master mariners who have sailed from the port of liverpool or in liverpool ships. the relief of masters and officers of the merchant navy and their dependents in cases of sickness, unemployment or other distress. the relief of masters and officers of the merchant navy and their dependents in cases of sickness, unemployment or other distress. in or towards adapting property belonging to the charity called the liverpool home for aged mariners for use for the purposes of that charity. rent and rates free for merchant navy officers (retired with slender means) accommodation and full maintenance for aged merchant navy seamen of all ranks. pensions to needy persons of british nationality who are not less than 50 years of age and who have retired after serving at sea in the british merchant navy as captain, deck officer or seaman for not less than 25 years in ships whose home port is liverpool. the relief of seafarers or former seafarers and/or their dependants who are in need, hardship or distress, by (a) providing accommodation, and if required, residential or nursing care with preference to: widows of seafarers who are over 50 years of age and in need; and seafarers who are over 50 years of age and in need(b) making annual pensions or one-off grants of money (c) providing or paying for goods, services or facilities(d) making grants of money to other persons / bodies that provide goods, services or facilities (e) developing new and enhanced services by research or otherwise, and where appropriate in conjunction with other bodies / persons
