the objects of the organsistion shall be to promote the relief of physically and mentally handicapped children and aged blind persons resident in manchester and the neighbourhood by providing or assisting in the provision of:- a. suitable outings and day trips (including taking a party of handicapped children by taxi-cabs to the seaside in june); b. such special benefits (not normally provided by the local education authority) as may from time to time be agreed between the committee and the school or schools concerned.
