the object of the society is the relief in cases of financial need persons specified in clause 3 together with their wives children and dependents any of whom are in conditions of need hardship or distress including the affording of relief:-(i)by making weekly or other periodical allowances(ii)by making grants or allowances for the purposes of medical treatment medical care and convalescence and for the purpose of attending on medical advice a consultant or nursing home or any similar institution(iii)by making grants to the estate of a deceased member to assist in the cost of funeral expenses. for further details please see rules dated 1/10/1982
