Objects:
the objects of the charity are:(1) the provision and maintenance of almshouses for the benefit of persons who are in need of housing due to lack of means or financial hardship and who are current or former residents of the area of benefit. in the event of a vacancy arising which cannot be filled by such a person resident or formerly resident in the area of benefit, this may be extended to such persons from surrounding parishes and beyond.(2) such charitable purposes for the benefit of the residents in the almshouses of the charity or any of them and in such manner as the charity trustees think fit from time to time. in relieving either generally or individually persons resident in the parishes of deighton and escrick who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress by making grants of money or providing or paying for items, services or facilities calculated to reduce the need, hardship or distress of such persons. see individual constituents
