1) the relief of the following persons who are in condition of need, hardship or distress (in accordance with the provisions hereinafter contained):a) riflemen and their dependents (whether relatives or not), andb) the widows and children of deceased riflemen;2) the education or advancement in life of the children of deceased riflemen or riflemen in need;3) the benefit of residents in the homes;4) the provision of land and buildings for use as cottage homes and flats. 1) the relief in need of the following deserving persons who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress (in accordance with the provisions hereinafter contained):a) riflemen and their dependents (whether relatives or not), andb) the widows and children of deceased riflemen;2) the education or advancement in life of the children of deceased riflemen or riflemen in need;3) the benefit of residents in the house;4) the provision of land and buildings for use as cottage homes and flats. a)for the relief in deserving cases of riflemen who are in distress of wounds sickness or other causes beyond their control.b)the relief by the grant of pensions or otherwise of widows and infant children in necessitous circumstances of deceased riflemen.c) the maintenance education or advancement in the life o the infant children of deceased riflemen and of any necessitous children of riflemen for whom no parent or relative is able by reason of poverty or otherwise to make provisions.d)the granting of allowances or pecuniary help (by way of loan or otherwise) in causes of distress to riflemen or the widows or children of deceased riflemen to assist them in temporary difficulties or to enable them to obtain suitable employment or to emigrat.e) the granting of relief in cases of hardship or distress to the dependents of riflemen whether relatives or not. f) the provision of land and buildings for use as cottage homes and flats for infirm and disabled riflemen and in cases of need for the widows of such riflemen. 1) the relief in need of the following deserving persons who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress (in accordance with the provisions hereinafter contained):a) riflemen and their dependents (whether relatives or not), andb) the widows and children of deceased riflemen;2) the education or advancement on life of the children of deceased riflemen or riflemen in need;3) the benefit of residents in the homes;4) the provisions of land and buildings for use as cottage homes and flats. for the benefit of children of riflemen of the king's royal rifle corps who were killed in the second world war 1939-1945 for the benefit of children of riflemen of the rifle brigade who were killed in the second world war 1939-1945 benefit of charity. subject to payment of the expenses aforesaid the trustees shall apply the income of the charity, and may at their discretion apply the whole or part of the property of the charity expendable as income, in one or more of the following ways:(1) to relieve serving or former members of the regiment or former members of the forming regiments or the dependants of such persons who are in need by virtue of financial hardship, sickness or old age.(2) the education or advancement in life of the children of deceased former members of the regiment or forming regiments or the children of serving or former members of the regiment or former members of the forming regiments who are in need.(3) the provision of land and buildings for use as cottage homes and flats.
