1. to provide for the relief of poverty of aged persons and widows residing in the parish of linton and in the surrounding or neighbourhood irrespective of their political and religious faiths and in particular to provide financial assistance to such last mentioned persons at christmas in each year. 2. to assist any other charitable body or bodies financially or otherwise in the furtherance of the above mentioned purposes or any of them.
