grants to:- 1) widows and orphans of shipwrecked seamen to relive distress caused by the death of their husband of father. 2) seamen who are in need of assistance and through age; incapacity or infirmity are unable to earn their own living at sea. 3) widows and orphans of seamen who are in need of assistance owing to the death of their husband or father either at sea or as a result of seagoing service or widows or orphans of seamen who at the date of their death were receiving grants under the preceding clauses. 1) repair and maintenance of almshouses for deserving poor persons who are retired seamen, widows or daughters being not less than fifty years of age. 2) benefit of the occupants of the said almshouses.
