provision of residence for widows of clergymen of the church of england or any persons in need not less than 50 years old being a retired member of the church of england clergy or their spouse, widow or widower (see scheme for further details). the income of the charity for the benefit of residents of the charity or any of them in such manner as the trustees think fit from time to time. (charity was previously registered on 204201). 1.the trustees may apply capital of the charity in the purchase of land and buildings to be settled upon trust for use as residences under the provisions of the clergy pensions measure 1961. 2.the trustee shall apply the clear income and at its discretion capital of the charity for the purpose of maintaining, repairing and improving buildings used as residences as aforesaid but nevertheless upon such terms with regard to recoupment of capital expended and otherwise as the commissioners upon such application made to them for the purpose as they shall think sufficient. 1. the trustee may apply capital of the charity in the purchase of land and buildings to be settled upon trust for use as residences under the provisions of the clergy pensions measure 1961. 2. the trustee shall apply clear and at its discretion capital of the charity for the purpose of maintaining, repairing and improving buildings used as residences as aforesaid but nevertheless upon such terms with regard to recoupment of capital expended and otherwise as the commissioners upon such application made to them for the purpose as they shall think sufficient the benefit of the residents in the property of the charity or any of them in such manner as the trustee thinks fit from time to time. the administration of clergy pensions in accordance with the provisions of the clergy pensions measure 1961. see scheme for further details.
