to make grants or loans in cases of financial hardship to serving other ranks of the 9th/12th royal lancers (prince of wales') and to serving other ranks who are attached to the said regiment. any income not so applied may be used in making grants or loans in cases of financial hardship to serving officers of the regiment and to serving officers who are attached to the regiment. for the benefit of any person or persons who owing to poverty are in need of pecuniary assistance and who are the dependants of any non-commissioned officers or men. the whole or any part of the income of the charity to be applied for 1) in or towards the maintenance or assistance of any past or present non-commissioned officers or of the 9th queens royal lancers who through wounds, sickness or otherwise may be unfit for active service or be wholly or partly incapacitated from earning their own living or any of the wives or children of such non-commissioned officers or men. 2) in or towards the maintenance or assistance of any of the widows or children of any deceased non-commissioned officers or men of the 9th/12th royal lancers (prince of wales') or of the 9th queens royal lancers. 3) in any other manner for the benefit of any past or present non-commissioned officers or men of the 9th/12th royal lancers (prince of wales) or of the 9th queens commissioned officers. to apply the income for the benefit in cases of need of women and children of the 9th/12th royal lancers (prince of wales'). for the benefit in cases of need of non-commissioned officers and men of the 9th/12th royal lancers (prince of wales'.) income may be applied either wholly or partly in an annual distribution between the best behaved non-commissioned officers and men partly between such non-commissioned officers and men and partly in prizes for lance and sword exercises to be competed for in the 9th/12th royal lancers (prince of wales'). see individual constituents
