a) to study moral and social questions and to bring christian insight to bear upon them. b) to foster interest in social questions throughout the area and to co-operate in th work of christian education. c) to co-ordinate and social welfare work throughout the area to promote sympathetic and intelligent interest in its activities, and to collaborate with state and voluntary organisations having a similar purpose. d) to provide help, both of a preventive and remedial character, for those in need and to encourage the giving of advice and practical help to young people and those concerned with the young.
