1) for keeping almshouses insured against fire. 2) for keeping premises in good and substantial repair or effecting improvements. 3)in or towards expenses of managing, repairing, maintaining and general upkeep of almshouses with gardens grounds and fences thereof. 4)for the benefit of the inmates of the almshouses or for, payments of grants or pensions to necessitous and deserving persons resident in nidd neighbourhood or elsewhere 5)in or towards providing furniture, clothing or other necessaries or comforts for almspeople. almshouses for occupation by such aged or infirm or otherwise incapacitated persons who are members of the church of england as trustees think proper to admit to benefits thereof the preference being given to the inhabitants of the parish or township of nidd and the surrounding district or neighbourhood who may be of either sex and either married or single.
