The Charity's objects are specifically restricted to promoting the extension of the Christian faith in the United Kingdom and in all or any other parts of the world through worship, education and social action that is in accord with the principles and practices of the Independent Methodist Connexion of Churches. income to be used for giving grants (or other practical ways) to the widows or dependants of deceased connexional ministers in necessitous circumstances, and also other women in financial need who are rendered special service to the independent methodist connexion through the churches income to be used in making grants to new causes in connection with or intended to be connected with the independent methodist churches to spread the principles of such churches and to assist churches and missions to reduce debts or extend premises income to be used for the expenses of engaging and training missionaries for service overseas, contributions to the maintenance of work overseas generally considered as part of the missionary activities (whether evangelistic, medical, industrial, social or other, as deemed suitable by the connexional committee) the cost of administration at home or abroad serving the ends of overseas service, the expenses of arranging and maintaining alliances between the denomination and any other denominations or group working to aid the same or kindred objects and of attending at home or overseas joint meetings or conferences for this purpose and generally to respond to the call for missionary activity financial aid to ministers that are necessitous circumstances to advance the education of connexional ministers and students who are developing in, or preparing for the independent methodist ministry to make available grants to young people aged 12 to 23 years inclusive, for activities of an evangelical nature, especially to young people who otherwise would not be able to participate to provide financial assistance to those sponsored by any church in association with the connexion for training and education in preparation for or development of their christian service
