to give financial assistance to life members of the south staffordshire regiment old comrades association who are in necessitous circumstances or to provide weekly payments to the said life members of not more than $2 in each case. to give financial assistance to ex members of any unit of the former south staffordshire regiment who are in needy circumstances. see also clause 12(2) of scheme of 14th march 1973. to give financial assistance to widows of soldiers, who served in the former south staffordshire regiment and who died as a result of the war of 1939-45, or to any ex-soldier having so served, an who suffered serious disablement in the said war, who are in necessitous circumstances. for charitable purposes for the benefit of all ranks who served in the north staffordshire regiment (the prince of wales's) who are in distress through poverty. assisting all ranks who served in the former north staffordshire regiment (the prince of wales's) in the war of 1939-45 and their dependants who are in distress through poverty. (1) regimental charity branch: such charitable purposes for the efficiency of the regiment or any unit thereof or for relief in need (2) chattels branch: use in the existing units (3) grants branch: relieving either generally or individually past and present members of the regiment or the former regiments and the dependants of such persons who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress.
