to pay the income of the trust to doctor barnardo's homes for the purpose of educating and assisting a child or children of the said homes to qualify as a member or members of the medical profession. failing this, the income to be paid to some other suitable society for the same purpose. if and in so far as income of the above-mentioned charity is not required in any year for application in accordance with the provisions of section (a) of sub-clause (1) clause 12 of the above-mentioned will the trustees of the charity may apply the same for the purpose of educating and assisting needy children and young persons who on the date of application for benefit are not more than 25 years of age to qualify as members of the medical profession or in a vocation connected with medicine.
