for the public benefit for the following purposes in the area comprising denne, forest and riverside and trafalgar neighbourhoods and north horsham parish (i) to promote high standards of planning and architecture in the area of benefit. (ii) to monitor all aspects of development and land use affecting its built environment, and where necessary to promulgate policy, create and present plans that reflect the society's view and respond to specific issues and planning applications (iii) in all matters that affect horsham's environmental well being (see constitution for details) and (iv) to promote a sense of pride in the area of benefit through raising awareness both of its history, current and future status and to fulfil the society's promise that 'our concern is the past, present and future of the town'.
