the relief of severely physically and mentally handicapped persons in the west essex area. in furtherance of this object but not otherwise the association shall have the following:-to assist and support the statutory bodies in the provision of day care for the severely physically to assist the statutory bodies in the provision of short term respite care and long term residential care for the severely physically and mentally handicapped in this area. to foster mutual help and co-operation between physically and mentally handicapped, and those entrusted with their care. to raise funds for the achievement of these objects and to invite and receive donations, subscriptions and otherwise, provided that no permanent trading shall be indulged in.
