after all proper costs relating to administration and met, the income is to be defrayed as follows: (1) a sum of $1 4s 0d. to be distributed and given to twelve of the poorest widows and others inhabiting the ancient borough of truro. (2) the residue is to be applied primarily in or towards putting forward poor children as apprentices to some useful trade or occupation and in the assistance of poor persons who are under the age of twenty-one years and who are preparing for, entering upon or engaged in, any trade occupation or service by outfits, payment of fees for instruction, payment of travelling expenses or such other means for their advancement in life or to enable them to earn their own living as the trustees think fit provided that (a) the beneficiaries of one half of the residue of the income are children of persons residing in any part of the ancient borough of truro. (b) the beneficiaries of one quarter of the residue of the income are children or persons residing in the civil parish of kenwyn (urban) with a preference for those residing in kenwyn (urban) with a preference for those residing in kenwyn street. (c) the beneficiaries of one quarter of the residue of the income are children or persons residing in the civil parish of st. clement (urban) with a preference for those residing in st. clement street.
