to advance public education by the provision of books and services in support of study and research in education and to serve the information needs of the teaching profession, its co-workers and the public at large. to meet these objectives the charity shall aim to foster co-operative enterprises, assist and advise on individual projects and support a publishing programme planned and co-ordinated by a publications sub-committee.
