(a)in awarding a travelling scholarship, to be called the frederick james french scholarship in building, to a suitably qualified student of the department of the built environment at the anglia polytechnic university for the purpose of enabling such student to study contemporary building methods and construction outside the british isles unless such study is for any reason impracticable in which case it may be limited to building methods and construction in the british isles. (b) in awarding a prize or prizes to a student or students of the said department, to be called the frederick james french prize in building, for the encouragement of the study of contemporary building methods and construction as aforesaid.
