Finances:
Objects:
(1) the trustees shall apply the clear income in either or both of the following ways:- (a) in assisting persons who have not attained the age of 25 years and who are dependants of freemen of dover who are in need of financial assistance and who are preparing for, entering upon or engaged in any profession, trade, occupation or sevice, by providing them with outfits, or by paying fees, travelling or maintenance expenses, or by such other means for their advancement in life or to enable them to earn their living as the trustees think fit or in otherwise promoting the education (including social and physical training) of such persons; (b) in relieving either generally or individually persons who are freemen of dover or the dependants thereof who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress in accordance with the provisions hereinafter contained for relief in need. (2) if and in so far as income cannot be applied in any one year as aforesaid the trustees may apply the same in relieving poor or aged persons who are inhabitants of dover. (3) reflif in need:- the trustees in applying income for relief in need may make grants of money or provide or pay for items, services or facilities calculated to reduce the need, hardship or distess of such persons, the trustees may pay for such items, services or facilities by way of donations or subscriptions to institutions or organisations which provide or which undertake in return to provide such items, services or facilities for such persons.
